PACS Integration

As hospitals move to electronic and digital means to capture and manage patient and clinical data, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) applications for Radiology have been at the forefront of these data base migrations through the elimination of traditional film-based X-Ray methods.

Utilizing automated functionality, Radiologists select specific studies from PACS, launching associated DICOM images and an associated HDI dictation solution. Our integrated solution will automatically authenticate the user (no need to re-enter user name or ID), pull related patient demographics from PACS, and ready the dictator for immediate reporting.

Eliminating phone-based dictation, HDI's PACS workstation dictation applications route dictations for standard transcription and provide copies of previously dictated reports for more in-depth reporting. The applications also offer back-end speech recognition integration, providing speech recognized documents for transcription editing with or without changes to physician practice patterns, or front-end speech recognition allowing Radiologists the ability to edit speech recognized documents, finalize with or without transcription involvement and electronically sign documents to expedite the patient reporting process.

Create "normals" custom to each Radiologist's user profile, add words to the speech recognition server on the fly, or save dictations for later completion. RIS interfaces are available as well to offer real-time report management across the hospital enterprise.

Coupled with a Philips SpeechMike™ providing "at your finger tips" dictation control, HDI PACS solutions provide fully integrated dictation platforms that work in conjunction with nearly all PACS systems available today.
